Upvotes let you show appreciation for a forum topic or reply without adding a comment. Each upvote a member receives adds 0.5 points to their community total.

Choose the upvote control on a topic or reply to cast your vote. Choose it again to remove your vote; the author’s total then loses those 0.5 points. There is no downvote option.

The number beside the control shows the post’s votes. Points from upvotes count toward the author’s rank. Forum topics and replies also earn their authors points when posted.
